What do I do if I see a Sync Out of Range message on PC?
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. If you have Windows XP, you can go to Start, Run, type in dxdiag, then press Enter to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Click the Display tab and you can find your video card’s name under Device Name. You can Google that name to see if you can find drivers for your video card. Some of the more common chipset makers are Nvidia, ATI and Intel.
If that doesn’t help, go into My Computer, right click on the BYBaseball07 CD and choose Explore. When the new window opens, right click on the BYBaseball07.exe and hold the button down, drag the icon to the desktop and let go of the right click. In the new menu, choose Create Shortcut Here. Right click on the shortcut and choose Properties. In the shortcut path, it should say something like D:\BYBaseball07.exe. It should also be highlighted. Put your cursor after the .exe and left mouse click to make the highlight go away, then add a space, then add the word windowed. It should look like this:
(Where D is your CD-ROM letter)
Click Apply, click OK and run that .exe from your Desktop. The game should run in one window and you should have sound. If you do not have sound, go into a game, pause the game and go to Options, Sound Options and crank all the sounds up to above 0%. You should have sound now.
